Looking to make a healthy breakfast choice? A bowl of wisely-chosen cereal topped with skim milk and some fresh fruit makes for a great fuel to start your day - much better than grabbing a bagel or muffin when you're running late.

The next few times you grocery shop, take some extra time to compare cereal box ingredient lists. Although we are taught to count calories, the rest of the ingredient list is just as important, actually
more important for breakfast. We need the calories and carbs in the morning to fuel us for the day. Just don't go overboard.
Look for:
√ Low sugar, less than 5 grams
√ High Fiber, over 5 grams
√ Low carbohydrates, less than 30 grams
√ Low calorie, less than 150
√ Protein, unless you're going for a very low-calorie option
